The bleed was consistent with an aneurysm but they haven't been able to find one. The angiogram didn't show any nor any bleeding. The did say that sometimes and aneurysm will pop and just close back up. That said, he didn't find any weak spots or areas of concern in the arteries. I'm sure he's going to want to do more tests, but he wants to wait until things clear up in there.
Good evening folks Sue woke up at 12:30 today. She opened her eyes, looked at me and smiled. She's talking a little and prefers to keep her eyes closed. But she stayed awake for more than two hours.
DH taught his former company a rather expensive lesson in why you should be fully aware of the labour laws in the countries you are operating in! He's gone for a job interview this morning so fingers crossed. When I read the ad the company had posted it sounded exactly like all the things he's good at.
I've tried hatching some more chicken eggs from the same person but they got stuck in the post for 10 days. It didn't help that she'd forgotten about my order so decided to post them on a Friday! I have 2 that have miraculously survived and they are trying to hatch today, but they are both malpositioned. I did everything by the book, so I don't know what's going on there. One has pipped at the narrow end of the egg, the other has pipped internally as I can hear it cheeping, but I can't figure out which end is which, and I can't see its beak at all. So fingers crossed they make it. It's frustrating though because I've never had this issue before with other species I've hatched. And two of the eggs she sent me were so porous that they started oozing egg white our of their pores after only a short time in the incubator, so I wasn't very happy about that.
Our two little OEGBs are adorable and super tame. Ffion is now called Fox. He is the cutest little cockerel you have ever seen and I'm very thankful he hasn't learned to crow yet (with any other chicken chicks we've raised the young boys always started crowing early - between 5 and 6 weeks!). He's a complete baby, cheeping constantly and always trying to hide under his big sister, Squeaks (who seems to take great delight in stepping on him). They are just over 6 weeks old now.
Our ducks are monstrous and I swear they get heavier every day (they aren't fully feathered yet so we are still lugging them in and out). I am looking forward to them moving out, but they are very loveable (though messy) creatures.
I promise not to be a stranger! (Can't believe so many days have flown by).
