The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Awe, he talks to you? How sweet. My only experience with a turkey was a rotten old cuss that chased everyone in the barnyard. He was 5 or 6 years old so I suppose he earned the right but it sure made feeding the animals adventurous!
fil had one like that one time, i had to take a stick to keep him off me, that tom never bothered fil til one day he was bending over picking up something and that tom just couldn't control himself, needless to say, the tom left for freezer camp

Then there's me, walking around with 3 layers on, and still cold.
Then you best not come visit me in our winter!

She can stand on her own, but hasn't quite made the connection between brain and feet, so it's something she's going to have to re-learn.
She's a determined woman, she'll get there as fast as she can.

Please make me part of that hug too. :hugs Pulling for closer to 4 days than to 4 weeks. :fl
X2!

so they say, guess i'm still afraid because my mother had one blow up one time, luckily we were outside when it blew, what a mess, but i'm going to try cause its faster than the old way
I wonder how far back one has to go to find an exploding pressure cooker. The one my mom had had a "rocker top", I'm sure it was no newer than the 1960's. I don't know how you could blow that up with the pressure constantly being relieved. The one I have has a little dial, full open, partial open and "release steam". I don't think it could blow either.

It beeps to let me know it's done.
How does IT know it is done??
I use my pressure cooker for artichokes and hard "boiled" eggs. Sure are easy to peel.

He has an older brother who is a PITA also. He’s 3 and gets bit too. Mom got bit a few times a couple weeks ago. They want to blame it on the other kids. They are not the problem.
I think little monster would be dangling from one leg held by my hand the second time he bit me.

He got 150 feet down and hit granite and couldn’t break through
I thought they could drill through just about anything??

That was good for a snicker
They tried but made very little progress...4 feet in 3 hours. Who knows how big the rock is? We live in Big Stone County. They named it appropriately.

I seem to remember reading that the pressure cooker had to be made before the mid 1980s to not have the current safety features.

My mother's old pressure cooker had an eruption and sent beef stew all over the kitchen and the ceiling. Scared my older sister and I so badly, we were hiding.
Eventually as a married, adult, sister got brave enough to get a pressure cooker. Not me!! I bought a can of Dinty-Moore Beef stew at the grocery store. Wasn't great but safe.

We have a well driller out today. He was here at 7:30 this morning and is still here. He got 150 feet down and hit granite and couldn’t break through...$1500 gone! He moved to a new spot which is closer to our current well. I hope they hit water here. These guys were supposed to dig this new well last summer but due to all the rain we got they couldn’t get it done.

Keeping fingers crossed the well digging goes better this time around DMC :fl
