It is cold and rainy here, and we've got thunder rumbling about. I was hoping for a bit of sun to warm up the house, but that hasn't happened.
The local turkey came visiting this morning. They aren't particularly worried by us and there are so many bugs around they are welcome to as many as they can eat!

Our Muscovy ducks seem very pleased with their new home. I just wish we could give them some grass but where their new house is under the trees there's not a lot of pasture up there anyway (and the chickens have scratched up and eaten what was in the immediate vicinity).

This boy is my favourite - he's so calm and sweet:

I'm pretty sure we have ended up with a pair of chickens. Even though they are only a couple of weeks old I'm getting serious boy vibes from one. He's got all the classic signs - slower feathering, thicker legs, and a little comb already sprouting. The little girl is a doll, but very determined. She jumps out of the cage all by herself (it's at least a foot tall and only has a door in the roof - I am about to give them a bigger cage). Then this morning she'd jumped up on my shoulder and DS was standing in front of me, so she tried to jump up on him!

And I couldn't leave out these two cuties:

Hope you don't mind all the photos. Just trying to distract myself from being cold.
