The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I'm doing pretty good , thanks for asking. My left leg started swelling last week and we can't figure out why? It will go back and forth with the swelling🤔 I'm staying inside so it can't be the sun and I'm being careful with what I eat (salt wise ) We have a call into my doctor so Let's see what she says.🤷
Maybe lymphatic fluid? Are you keeping it elevated when possible?

You know how to bake Bruce, try this recipe:

1 Cup peanut butter
1 Cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix it all up, scoop onto a baking sheet and bake them in a 325* oven for about 15 minutes. Ta da...cookies!

Sometimes I add the mini chocolate chips and other times I put mini peanut butter cups on top when they're hot out of the oven.

No flour?

Um, what kind of categories? I can only think of "dead" and "alive".

Yep. One of DD1's 6th grade teachers broke her. Spent the next 2 years homeschooled. DD2 was assigned to that teacher 2 years later. They had a rule that you couldn't choose teachers. Since DD2 and another girl in 5th grade said they would like to be together they put them in the same group. DW just about blew apart when we found out. I had to go to the principal (DW wouldn't have been able to hold it together) and tell them that there were 2 choices - get her out of that woman's class or lose the state money for a student because she wouldn't be enrolled. They moved her.

Bruce, I almost forgot to answer your question about the rattlesnake categories. They had competitions to see who caught the largest (longest) snake, whose snake had the largest rattle, which snake the most venom could be milked from, etc.

Also, good for your and your DW for being such strong advocates for your DD at school :thumbsup

I call temps like that blast furnace weather-- especially closer to Red Bluff where the air comes down for Mt. Shasta and super heats the air. It comes as a North Wind
I love the Mount Shasta area...beautiful country!

It really is! My mom lived there when she was a girl & actually hiked to the top...there was a book up there that people signed...no idea if it's still there or not. We drove through there more times than I can remember & also stayed a few different times to enjoy the area! I would have loved to hike to the top!

Yes, I have never sat so much in my life 😞 but it is helping at least for awhile. Hoping for a nurse to come out tomorrow to look at it since I guess my doctor can't fit me in. We are calling a new doctor in the morning to see about changing my primary doctor.

People still climb up to the top of Mt. Shasta.

It would be hard for me to do currently though

I would love to know if the book was still there. She's 89 now, so it was a very long time ago!

I don't think I could do it right now either, but I'd be willing to try!
