what's all this spam everyone is always talking about?

Early this morning the site was flooded with Asian-looking garbage, post after post. I don't know if they hit every forum but they did a lot of them. The mods must have been in by now and cleaned it all out. It happens sometimes and kind of disrupts normal biz.

I missed it all.
whew.
My computer is dingy though.
I think the servers are having issues.
Even our electric company called the house saying that they will not be cutting off power- do not send money to anywhere.. watch out for the spammers and fishers.

'Tis the season.
But why wait til now?
Why not do this in September when people have money?
