The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I try, they’re stubborn! We are transitioning a child from the baby room. They are ready to give her over to us. We are not ready...extremely spoiled!!

Hi Bob:hugs

Calm and 2 year olds???

I stand corrected 🤷 its been a long time since I worked with that age and its tough enough with 3 and 4 year olds. In order to be calm you must leave the room, at least for me.

Yay, spoiled one are so much fun- NOT

We all do what we have to do and make the best of it, right?

I'll be plenty busy. There will be unpacking, getting internet & cable hooked up and interior painting to finish up and all the paper work that goes with a move for address changes. I hope to be able to find a part time job. Finding my way around a new town is always tricky for me (I have no sense of direction) so there's that. Casper has a nice library and I love to read. In the spring I'm going to have a garden for the 1st time in 4 years! Lots and lots of details to settle all around.

DH will actually be able to spend quite a bit of time up there during the winter, so that will help adjust a lot. And when DH can't be there with me, he'll phone (several times a day based on previous experience)

So, it's a bit exciting and a bit scary. But it'll work out!
You will be so busy most of the time getting things in order. It will be exciting for you to learn your way around and find all the good spots to go and to shop. The library would be my go to place 😉

You'll find your way around in no time!! Its exciting and scary when you move and don't know anyone, but I know you'll make friends quickly 😁 I can't wait to hear all about your new home everything else.

When we first moved to Virginia, you could always find the 3 of us walking to the library while Bob was at work. We would check out so many books, it was crazy to walk home.

Thank you for saying you have no sense of direction. My mother didn't either. She'd walk out of a store, turn and end up going back in. I have a poor sense of direction too but , have been trying hard to correct it.

Used to walk 10-20 miles a day- fairly early in day. So at noon with sun straight up - really would get lost. Sometimes I would overshoot the mark by so much, I ended up crying. The last thing I wanted to discover was how far off course I was - when I was on the last bit of energy.

Learned to sing that old song "Cryin' ain't done nobody, no good, no how! So why am I cryin' now?":hit

I started out with the 3-4 year old. I prefer the 2 year olds. We transitioned one of our toddlers over this week to the preschool side. His mom is the teacher. She came over and got me yesterday and asked if I’d give him the eye. That’s all I have to do is stare at him and he shapes up. We knew he’d act out when he moved over.

All set. :). Happy Halloween. 😄.
