Good morning everyone - dank, damp and dreary here. Going to be that way most of the day followed by rain Thurs. and Fri. - possibility of light snow in North NJ on Friday.
last time i did any snow shoveling, ended up in the hospital with a heart attack, now i just let it melt if we're up here and if we're not, we don't worry about the snowPurple? I thought Red was the worst!
Snow + shovel = aerobic exercise.
I hear it is good for a person.
We've gotten birds and bats in the woodstove in the summer. I guess there isn't a screen of any sort on top of the metal chimney. We've recently twice had birds in the basement. The only thing I can think of is they come down the brick chimney and out the barometric damper. Last week there was a horrendous screaming in the house and a bird came flying into the living room with the 3 cats hot on its tail. It hit the window, then the ground then wedged between the wall and TV stand where I was able to pick it up and put it out on the deck. I have absolutely no idea how it got in the house, we don't leave the basement door open and there certainly weren't any windows open.
The cats always know when there is an outdoor animal somewhere in the house.
never saw hornets down in florida, wasp, yes, honey bees, yes, yellow jackets yets, daddy always called the wasp, wampus cats, they like to make nest on a limb hanging over the river, and if you got hung in the same limb with fishing line, you better know how to swim cause it was every man for himself but the little yellow jacket sure can put a hurting on you, hornets? It sounds like a nerve is injured in the finger.
I stuck the back of my hand onto a hornets nest when I was about 16 years old. I was stung multiple times! The hand was swollen for a day or two.
Nerve pain feels different from a hornet sting

afternoon drGood morning Sharron! Have a good day!![]()
not really debby, what was scarry was the ambulance guys trying to get me up the driveway with all the sliding on the ice, they wouldn't let me walk up it, kinda funny really, took husband about 30 minutes to out talk me, didn't want to go to the hospital but finally gave in, i'm kinda stubborn about hospitals, hate them like everyone else but never had good luck with themLetting it melt makes sense to me Sharron. That must have been scary!
Can't wait to see what you're cooking!
Thank you Sharron! It's been a good day so far...a lot of driving...I think about 190 miles round trip when it's all said and done...but it's a good day for it!afternoon dr
