My brother (the family genius) thinks I know everything there is to know about chickens, he's very impressed (he's wrong, but he's impressed). The other day he called me and said, "So chicken expert, what part of the chicken is the McNuggets?". He hung up laughing like a crazy man. I think he may have had an adult beverage or two before he called.

So I was out in the yard playing with my camera, want to see my yard? (Of course you do!) Our 3 Camelia bushes are covered with these beauties Palmettos...don't get too close, they'll hurt you Weedy vine with berries climbing the fence Part of my front yard Fallen tree (don't know why but I like this tree) An upright tree Spanish moss...anyone need some? And last but not least, radishes There you have it...The Sandbox. All the parts that are fit to photograph!

you have a storybook setting yard, I love your mossy log as well, thanks for sharing things I'm not familiar with, I didn't even know that berries could be that shade of purple, don't be alarmed if you find a strange lady in your yard some day in the future.

NFC I love your current avatar - truly something different among Xmas avatars. I also saw the Elf movie when it first came out and loved it.

Your photos are beautiful. The one that intrigues me is the fallen tree. Trying not to be to too ghoulish, it looks like the tree is clawing it's way out of the ground (grave). It has a strong spirit and refuses to die. Hmm, sounds like the premise of a new horror movie, "That tree that wouldn't die!!"
