Nice! :drool all deliciousness. Have you always liked baking?

Opie sounds like a silly boy for sure! Haha
I really like that picture, too. Sometimes, we need something up to remind us like mental notes.... "the dishes will be there tomorrow".

Yes I have, I made all the kids birthday cakes growing up and I made some for baby showers and military promotions for people DH worked with. I made cupcakes and tons of goodies for school parties as well. Before we got married I had never really cooked anything so just started trying things. Some turned out great and others not so much. Everyone is still alive, so I must have learned okay !!

:lau glad the family survived! I didn't know how to cook anything until 5 years ago. I have always loved the idea of cooking/baking but, all the steps seem so intimidating.
Did you ever think about doing a business or just for fun, family & friends?

Don't let her kid you. She's an exceptional baker and awesome cook. Up until a few years ago, she did all of the baking, candy making, and anything sweet. She makes the best meatloaf I've ever tasted. She's also invented a number of awesome recipes. Oh, and she's the best Sous-chef ever... Okay, I might be just a little biased. :gig

It doesn't sound crazy at all! Everyone has their "thing". At least with food, you can eat it :D share with others, and DH approves.

So the Princess arose a bit ago and came into the computer room and greeted me with, "I'm in a Cracker Barrel sort of mood." I immediately think that she must have slipped her gears and say, "Are you serious?" She shakes her head, looks at me askance like I'm a dummy, and says "No, it's Sunday. Are you going to make pancakes." That I could/did do. Sunday morning at Cracker Barrel used to be our go to move, and pancakes the go to meal.
