Morning DMC! Have you ever served on a jury before?

I’ve never had to show up for jury duty but this is the third time that I’ve been selected. One time was grand jury. I have to call the courthouse after 5:00 today to see if I go in tomorrow. They are now just opening the courts with the whole virus thing so it should be interesting if chosen. Good thing I don’t babysit tomorrow.
Have you ever done it?

It can be interesting to see the process first hand. Definitely different than seen on tv

I sat on a jury once several years ago. The guy was accused of the armed robbery of a local restaurant where the manager was shot and paralyzed from the waist down.

I bet it is different. I doubt it will be anything like that here. It did say it could go late in the day and could take up to 3 days.

I bet it is different. I doubt it will be anything like that here. It did say it could go late in the day and could take up to 3 days.

I was really nervous being chosen, it's a huge feeling of responsibility to have to determine someone's fate. But the guy on trial was a bad apple. After it was all over the judge sent each of us jurors a letter thanking us and that's when we found out all the other bad things the guy had done that couldn't come out in trial.
