I have a few different breeds I'm hatching. The ones that made it to lockdown are 8 Jubliee Orpingtons, Lavender Ameraucanas (only 1 😢), 2 Silver Ameraucanas and 1 Wheaten Marans. The whole reason i wanted to do the hatch was to get Lavender Ameraucanas and I only ended up with one for lockdown :confused:

Depending on how this one goes, I might run another hatch. The Ameraucanas came from a reputable breeder and people say how great her hatch rates are. I must have gotten a "bad" batch because I've lost over half of them.

Hi Sue! I had my little girls until 1:00. I haven’t done much since. We went on a couple long Gator rides. It’s so windy and the dirt is blowing really bad. I hope we get some rain soon.

My eggs got stuck in Wisconsin some place over a full weekend .It took 11 or 12 days to get them . It was during those weather changes and guess what?. At ten days in the incubator they were all perfect - 0 - not one made it . I had to write that off . I couldn't blame the seller as it was not in his hands . You know who kills more chickens than Tyson ? The USPS . They were shipped over night shipping 11 Days give ne a break .:he

I'm sorry to hear that. USPS has been ridiculous. I would think by now they would be a little better :confused:
