The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Just have a couple of minutes to let you know we're still alive but not because Mother Nature isn't trying. Snow is extremely heavy, winds are savage and drifts are piling up. Our room is in Wheatland, visitation was in Torrington, over 60 miles away on a road with a lot of curves and a lot of hills. Plows aren't able to keep up. Windshield wipers froze solid to the windshield and broke when Ken flipped them back on. Left Torrington at 5, got back to our room at 7:30. Tomorrow is the graveside service, 10:00 am, in Geurnsey, 25 miles away. We're leaving right after the service and looks like we'll have this garbage almost all the way home. So if you'd keep the prayers coming, Ken and I would sure appreciate it.

oldhen - I'm sure that qualifies you for "sainthood," I shudder to think of what you went through -

But now, I think

you are a hero & survivor.

Thank you, it was a rough situation, we also had 3 adult brothers living with us until I finally started speaking up. I shouldn't speak too much or I will tarnish my Sainthood. Though for the record we bought the farm from them, so I was legit.

@Blooie I hope you have a safe trip home, will keep you in my prayers. That weather sounds perfectly awful.

Stay safe and warm.

I cannot imagine a graveside service with that kind of weather - hopefully it will be short and sweet.
