The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I figured we'd share the storm. We were done with it anyway! Everyone stay safe - we got stuck in the snow at the cemetery and they had to use the casket winch to get us out. Sharon must have been laughing her hiney off! Staying put here one more night - too dangerous to try to get home until the roads get cleared a little more.

It could only happen to @Blooie !

But I am glad you're staying put for the night. That doesn't sound like anything to drive through.

@oldhenlikesdogs give us another picture! I didn't get enough goosebumps from the last ones

Btw...Punsxutawney Phil did not see his shadow, so you all have an early spring to look forward to!

Wait.....it's snowing but up to 25 degrees. Most roads down here are closed. Were stranded in the motel for another night. We've seen jackknifed tanker trucks, cars sliding off the road, and got stuck in the cemetery. Um, this IS spring in Wyoming! And yes, we truly did get stuck in the cemetery.

Just have a couple of minutes to let you know we're still alive but not because Mother Nature isn't trying. Snow is extremely heavy, winds are savage and drifts are piling up. Our room is in Wheatland, visitation was in Torrington, over 60 miles away on a road with a lot of curves and a lot of hills. Plows aren't able to keep up. Windshield wipers froze solid to the windshield and broke when Ken flipped them back on. Left Torrington at 5, got back to our room at 7:30. Tomorrow is the graveside service, 10:00 am, in Geurnsey, 25 miles away. We're leaving right after the service and looks like we'll have this garbage almost all the way home. So if you'd keep the prayers coming, Ken and I would sure appreciate it.

Prayers are coming your way!
