The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Petey is a good name.

My pit was named Pearle. Such a sweetie, but could move a 10 foot log like it was a feather...and be a delicate daisy in your lap. (what a lapful). In those days , we thought a suntan was so,so cool - but mine always had a shadow of Perle - laying across me..
Dad had her spayed by a farm vet and he tattooed Dad's initials on her belly

Haven't thought about that for years, but was ridiculously funny to see his monogram on both sides of her abdomen when she rolled on her back.

Good morning!

It's Wednesday, that doesn't mean hump day to me anymore...just trash day, lol.

Hope you all have a good one

Good (post-siesta) afternoon! Hump day - me neither, but the term means something a little different in the UK

Do rabbits have enough brains to find their way home?

Saturday while DH was feeding him, one of the meat rabbits slipped out of his cage and ran off into the neighbors woods. This is the neighbor that has 3 German Shepherds. We figured that rabbit was a goner for sure. Yesterday I was cleaning up part of our yard by the fence and a glimpse of white catches my eye. Turning around, I see the rabbit is back in our yard in the goat corral so I put out a bowl of food for him. A couple hours later when DH got home from work, the rabbit hopped right into a have-a-heart trap he set out.

I didn't think rabbits were very smart but he managed to elude the dogs for 3 days and find his way home. Does that seem odd? Maybe rabbits are smarter than I give them credit for. Or maybe this guy has 4 lucky rabbit feet.
