I doubt that the Princess would typify me as the voice of reason.  It's more like slowly acquired sense of discretion.

Gosh, that last word is out of my vocabulary - so is acquired for that matter, but slowly I get totally

I know, but sour you welcome new members, think about it. It seems some people do buy animals without having a clue what they are like, let alone how to care for them. I welcomed one a while back that was on the point of giving them up, she was disgusted because they pooped so much (especially at night). She didn't know birds in general poop a lot? All it takes to find that out is park under a mulberry tree or power line once.

I also spend a lot of time on the 'unanswered threads' section. There are many posts there that I let slide because there is no way I can come up with a civil response. There is a fine line between ignorance and abuse.
