Just when ya think you've got 'em all figured out. You go out there day after day in bring in nice eggs, fairly uniform in size and then one day you go out there and find either a mondo egg or one so small you almost miss it in the nesting material!

Katie came by today to see the little egg before she left for school. We cracked it open and was the cutest little thing! Teeny little yolk, inner and outer whites and a chalazae that dwarfed the rest of the egg! She thought it was "adorable" and was totally delighted with it.

Morning everyone! The little goats are doing well. Phil, I forgot you have a Seven. DH picked that name because he's our 7th kid born here and was born on the 7th. It's amazing to see how quickly they get their feet under them and start hopping around, climbing on stuff. The little girl is already starting to investigate the tree leaves Mom is munching on (she's not really chewing on them, just sniffing and kind of licking them). Last night they were gently bumping each other's heads, knocking each other over, lol. I need to get going on some serious house cleaning projects around here. Ugh, not my favorite thing to do but we got our For Sale sign up yesterday and I don't want to scare anyone away with our messes. You all have a great day!
I'm sure they are cute as Heck

Some of my young ducks are just starting to lay eggs...so I'm getting a lot of small eggs like that....

I don't know if anyone but another southerner can understand how it took 3 hours to clean the wooden steps and landing on the north side of the house. YUCK! We don't use those steps and it doesn't get much sunlight so there was nasty mildew crap on them. Got rid of most of it but will have to go another round with them before they really look good. My head is stopped up and my arms are rubbery.

Can I call it quits on the cleaning for one day?

You're going to quote my own avatar back to me?!? I'll let it slide this time because I really do have too much to do to quit.

Besides, that stuff might be very helpful so thanks Berts!

We put expensive composite decking on our house which was supposed to be no maintenance and I have crap growing on mine also. We use a power washer and it does a really good job...still sucks as it was supposed to be no maintenance.
