Oh my goodness! I just got caught up here. Phil, I'm so sorry this happened to you and to your wife. I hope she does go in a get checked out. If she did suffer a concussion, remember that she most likely wasn't being argumentative about going in because she was being stubborn - many times with that kind of head knock the person can become combative and fight what's being said or done to help them. Happens to football players all the time - "Put be back in, Coach...I'm fine." That's pretty typical.

Happy Birthday Bert!!
I don't have a fancy image to put here.....oh wait....maybe I do....

Yes I almost typed it would not be the first time I pull hair out of my teeth. Thought better of it I'm glad you said it though

You need to clean that sweet corn better.

Phil, keep an eye on her - any abnormal behavior, pack her up and off to the ER.

BEFORE:

The north wall. Even with sunshine outside this room was always dark and gloomy. All of that "stuff" laying around had to be sorted and have homes found for it. Kendra's toys were all kept in the living room because the bedroom held too many risks for her. There was no place for them in there anyway. That large thing at the right of the photo is the foot end of the bunkbed where it stuck out into the doorway. I was always clocking my shoulder on it when I'd go in there!

Kendra's trundle was up against wall and then smacked into the lower bunk bed at the foot. And yes, the bunkbed was pushed up all the way against the wall at the back. That tells you how small this room really is, especially since the other end of it is stuck out into the doorway!

The closet, or what Katie called the "Pit of Doom". All of their clothes had to be hung because the dresser didn't hold them - two broken drawers. Stuff in here was in baskets, bins, boxes, and just laying loose. To shelf was full.

AFTER:

The north wall now....vanity/desk, toy organizer on the left, and the new beds on the right. Big drawers under the bed - Kendra's toys are finally in the bedroom and it's safe for her to play in there! The big pink thing in the middle of room doesn't stay there - it's a chair that makes into a bed for sleepovers or when Evan is there. Tam just put it there so Katie could see it. Evan has one in his room at his house too, and he uses it all the time - Katie sleeps in it when she stays there too. He doesn't even mind that the one in the girls' room is pink!

A tall, narrow bookcase was an ideal storage solution. Books, games, puzzles..and toys in the canvas bins. Kendra's are down low, Katie's up higher. Ken anchored the bookcase to the wall so when Kendra pulls herself up she can't tip it on herself.

Cute new beds and bedding. Girls should be very comfortable! Kendra's bed has had the mesh guard put back into place now so she can't fall out of the bed.

Closet with the new dresser on the left, and a little clothes hamper tucked into a hidey-hole. Lots more of those in this room now! The canvas tote on top has Katie's doll collection, out of little sister's reach but easily accessible to Bug. Just a few clothes - the kind that always should be hung up - are now taking up the space on the other side of the dresser, out of the shot. Nothing on the upper shelf so Jenny can arrange Kendra's extra medical supplies (boxes of catheters, diapers, collapsed walker, etc) - in a way that suits her convenience. Tam wasn't sure how Jenny would want to organize that up there. And look - floor! Haven't seen that for awhile!

We have one happy and very proud little girl sitting in the pink chair in the middle of the floor!! She LOVES it!

Aunt Tammy soaking up the "auntie points". Katie was stunned that she could sit up and not hit her head!

Great job, family!! Have I ever mentioned how much I love them all????
