Good morning BertS and all - I'm personally celebrating the power returning after 8 hours of diddly squat!

However, here we go...
Today is Grass is Always Browner on the Other Side of the Fence Day!
Today is Manatee Appreciation Day!

Today is National Doctors Day!

Today is National I am in Control Day!

Today is Pencil Day!

Today is Take a Walk in the Park Day!

Today is Turkey Neck Soup Day!

Sorry about your power issues...

Looks like the Gordon's was flowing freely when they came up with these doozies!

Thanks - its already gordon's o'clock and warm tonic? no ice? Whats the world coming to i wonder?

I think these peeps are on something a little stronger than good old Mr Gordons! Actually, maybe we should all try and make our own ones up after a couple (or 8)?

Eggsy, I guess we're just ahead of everyone's time...manatee day, pencil day. What next? Ravine Gardens Day?

Good morning you wonderful people

These are today's offerings...

Bunsen Burner Day
National Clam on the Half Shell Day

There were others, but cutting and pasting was not playing well - dunno why.
I remember a friend at school putting out a Bunsen Burner with his nose (guess we were around 11-12 years old). He's now a senior lecturer in mathematics at a University in the UK (but he's still as daft

).

Morning Chris!

How the heck do you put out a Bunsen burner with your nose? That sounds painful!

I think I'd rather celebrate clams on a half shell (although, I prefer them fried

DW is not keen on shellfish, but sometimes i buy the canned little tiddlers, add some tomatoes, chilli, garlic and cinnamon with pasta. Not quite the same a fresh, but we live too far away from the coast to trust anything here in Nairobi.
