Just popping in to ask you guys not to forget "old Sunflour".

I'm involved in a major career change that is occupying my attention, and cannot keep up with the volume of posts here.

Feel free to "slam" me in those PM's. LOL.

But I promise very soon I will be back around more, hopefully in the near future.

No WAY! Good luck with the career change!! Come back when you can, and smack Chris around a little...

Good luck with the career change stuff!

What you planning for your career change WV? I decided to dump mine 3 years ago, not change it!

In a nutshell, the company I work for has been in the process of going out of business for several years (been in business since 1905) Actually ceased major operations in 2007, then fired back up for a bit, shut down again in 2011. We since changed strategies and products, but sales have not been great. So last year we sold almost all our inventory to an outside company. Now we continue to make the product for them to market and sell. I'm in accounting and payroll, so I don't make anything lol. The other company continues to pay for our services, but they will eventually move everything to their own offices. We are still selling the inventory that we still own, they didn't buy everything, so its just a slow, drawn-out process. But eventually it will all be gone. Then I get to clean up all the books, pay the last person out the door, and turn out the lights!

Reluctant to post my profession, then no one would ever talk to me again

( or could be flooded with questions?)
May start a "What's My Line" contest...hmmmm...that could be fun?

But closing an independent "business" of about 30 years and taking a paid job to let someone else take on those headaches.

Used to have set hours and now my schedule is 8-12 hour shifts and a work calendar that looks like a crazy quilt

After all those years sun, I hope you aren't in for more headaches! Best of luck!

Thanks, only adjustment issues, but no headaches except in closing the old business - too much to do, too little time.

In the new job, someone else gets those headaches, and stresses.
