I believe it was a case of accidental umbrage.   Is there such a thing?

If you say there is, then there is. I'd plump for it being "misdirected", at least. Whatever the cause, it's not nice for such things to happen, let alone be responsible for it. :(

Good morning!

Blooie, how did it go with Kendra yesterday? Bet you did just fine. Is Katie looking forward to going back to school? I used to enjoy going back for about the first 2 weeks...then I was ready to be out again. School was not my favorite thing.

Last night was another win with the Men's League. We served them jambalaya, cornbread and strawberries on angel food cake. They ate tons and a few took home bags of extra

This coming Saturday is another tournament. Hope it's as profitable as the last.

Everyone says things die down once hunting starts in earnest in September. Maybe that's not such a bad thing, lol.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Interesting tidbits for the day

Apparently there was a movie by the name of Umbrage released in 2012:
"When a dysfunctional family moves into a remote farm, they find themselves in the middle of a centuries old feud. As night fails, terror emerges from the darkness in the form of a deadly seductress and a vampire cowboy hell bent on revenge.

And there's this for a definition...

Well, I'm kinda ashamed of myself. I couldn't do it. I couldn't get the catheter far enough in and I was afraid to push too hard. She was quiet at first, just watching the cath, but the more I had to fuss with it the more wiggly and crabby she got, until she almost took a tumble off the potty chair and my hands started to shake. Finally I gave up before we both got too frustrated. I finally did that cath and the next one the old way, which Jenny had told me was just fine if I had to.

Jenny made it look so easy - I'm sure it was just being unfamiliar with the technique and how the catheter should feel going in. You can be "unfamiliar with the technique" when you're learning to paint a ceiling or something, but that awkwardness when you're pushing a tube into your little granddaughter's tummy, trying to get it far enough in, trying not to bump the plastic button and tubing for the MACE, and having an uncooperative little squirmer on your hands are two wayy different things! I have to learn this - Jenny goes back to work in a couple of weeks and I'll have to cath Kendra before she goes to pre-school and then go over there once during her pre-school session to do it again. The doctor was adamant - every 3 hours. Using the Mitrofanoff for cathing does two main things - it empties the bladder and it also keeps the channel open when the cath is pushed in. So I can't keep copping out. <sigh>

This has all really taken a toll on our Kendra. She has lost weight, lost her smile, and lost her drive to push past boundaries. You can see it in her just by looking at her.

The first picture was taken the day she got home from Denver right after her surgery. The second picture is Kendra on Tuesday. It makes me sad.

Debby, your golfers eat better than my family!!

Blooie, I can't and won't pretend to have an inking on how difficult this is for ya'll, but this I do know.

there isn't another person I know, that is more capable, for this instance than you. I have no doubt, you are gonna "GRANDMA UP!" and get 'er dun! I'm constantly amazed at your caregiving, and humbled by the trials you and your family go thru, and still maintain happiness.

You got this gal.
