The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well good morning!! My computer died yesterday so it's in the shop, and all I have is my phone and iPad until it comes home from the hospital. Busy busy! Had the floors vacuumed and kitchen floor scrubbed by 4:45, then grabbed a hot cup of tea before the girls got here at 5:15. Made them scrambled eggs, toast, juice, and gave them a handful of grapes for breakfast, then got the dishes done. Gave Kendra her 3 meds while Katiebug combed her hair, washed her face, and brushed her teeth. Brushed Kendra's teeth (special technique for that because she can't stand at the sink), then got her cathed, dressed, braces on, and her hair done. By then Ken was up, and he took over while I made our bed, tossed in a load of laundry, and got dressed. All done by 7:20, and played with them until time to take them to school at 7:45. This is the daily routine. Somebody please wake me up the second Tuesday next week! I thank you!!
Holy cow Blooie! I feel bad that the girls are up so early.

Hi DMC,

What have you been up to lately?

Hi Debby! Always something going on here. Fall is busier with cleaning since my people want windows and all that fun stuff done...ugh! I showed up to my last clean of the day today and she wasn't feeling good so I made her check her blood sugars and I told her it was a good idea to call the doctor. I took her in and when we got home I had her call her daughter and got her some food. I would not have slept tonight if she had not gone in. Did your son get home? My son came home over the weekend from college but I hardly saw him as he still works for a local farmer...he hadn't been home in two weeks so I missed him

Kendra gets out of pre-school at 10, so she gets cathed as soon as we walk in the door around 10:05 and then an early lunch at 11. Most days she's more than willing to take an afternoon snooze, which she never used to do, I wake her up at 1 for her next cath, and by the time Jenny gets home at 2:30 she's happy as can be. It's only for a few more weeks - the head cook at the school smashed up her foot pretty badly so Jenny temporary moved up to that position. Once the lady comes back, we'll all go back to the original plan so Jen will drop the girls off at their school at 7:45, then go on to the middle school to work until 1:30. Katie is the one who is really dragging by the end of the school day. Well, me a little bit too, I guess. But it's just from the day school started on August 23rd until the end of October, so a good part of it is already behind us.

Ha! I got news for ya- they leave home, multiply. and then come back!!

BYC gets addicting! :D

I'm better off if I stick to just a few threads. Seems like when I venture out, I find myself getting frustrated with people's stupidity... I don't mean stupid as in dumb, I just get annoyed sometimes, and wish some folks had never learned to type! Ya know?
Those are the days when I need a break. :p

I know what you mean... I don't venture out to much stick with a few..... That's enough of a challenge...... Heck I'd have to sit on my phone all day to keep up.

Tis nature, Phil. We raise 'em and then have to let them go. Ours has been in Canada for the past 3 years and i hope that he will make his life there, for his sake. Doesn't stop us missing him, but its all part of the game of life, I guess.

Morning!

DMC, good for you on getting your lady taken care of. It's great you were there for her.

Chris, I always thought our job as a parent was to raise kids to not need us. If they want to spend time with us, that's good but it's best for them to be independent. DS is leaving KS today and will drive to Cheyenne to spend a couple days with mom & nephew. Then we're all meeting up about 1/2 way between for lunch and DS will follow us back to our house for a few days. I keep threatening him with working while he's here so not sure how long he'll stay, lol.

No word yet on nephew's tests, the results were supposed to be back last Friday. Is it good or bad that it's taking longer?

Hope you all have a good Thursday!
