I couldn't see the pics so I edited lol

I got 'em - just had to open in another window. At least everyone can see now

Debby, I sure hope your son likes it well enough to put down roots here in Wyoming. Lots of opportunities for young and ambitious kids, but a lot of times the cost of getting from one place to another is intimidating. Like Little Diane once told a friend in South Dakota when they were talking about how isolated everything is here, "When Gramma says 'We're going to Walmart today' I'd say, 'Oh, goodie! I'll pack the cooler!'"

Good morning everyone!

Met up with DS and other family yesterday in a little mountain town called Centennial. Gorgeous scenery on the trip. We saw SNOW! It was pretty much gone on the drive back but once I get home, I'll download some photos to share.

So nice to have him here. He's having a tough time right now. He got his doctorate almost 2 years ago and has had zero luck finding a job in his field, he seems stuck and kind of depressed. Hopefully he likes it out here, we've offered him a seasonal job and a place to live rent free for next summer if he wants it. I know he's still wanting a "real" job doing what he studied so hard for but at least he has this as a fall back if he needs it.

My cats adore him already...they slept with him all night long. Good thing he likes them too, lol.

Thats tough for DS - I seem to recall snakes are his "thing". Sometimes, the more one studies, the more one "pigeon holes" oneself - very unfortunate the way things work out sometimes. I'm sure that he is feeling very frustrated indeed. On the upside of things - at least an offer of doing something, whilst being with you guys is a consolation, I hope.

This place is just a couple hours from me. Closed in the mid-80s. They say its one of the most haunted places now. I've been there on a tour. It is definitely creepy.

(Mobile not being kind to posting pics today)
Looks like a great place for a movie filming - just be out and home by dusk
