And OMG - RR is crowing at dawn. She's the second hen in my flock to crow - now what's the odds against that.

IDK, BB2K's Serama hen Stella crows, her grandmother did, too. They've made me wonder if crowing hens might not be as uncommon as some might think.
Wow, I was just upstairs talking to DH on our enclosed porch, went into the kitchen to grab another cup of coffee and when I got back to the porch found we're now in the middle of wicked winds and a whiteout!
