Have a safe trip, Friday! No risks, no pushing too hard!!!
We could hit 22 below zero tomorrow night, and it ain't gonna get much warmer through the next week - snow is supposed to move in this afternoon and last until Saturday. But there's another storm coming in behind it. Kids are supposed to leave for Denver on Saturday but they are thinking about pushing that back to Sunday and driving straight through, the theory being that the Zamboni's will have been out if they wait another day and they'll be traveling between the two storms. I hate Kendra's 6 month checkup schedule...at least one checkup falls during snow months. Jenny's going to talk to them and see if they won't adjust the schedule - even April and October would be better although then there's a risk of hitting wintery conditions during both months. April snowstorms can be vicious, especially down Debby's way in the southern part of the state.
Got a follow up medical appointment today - just a recheck after being sick a few days ago. Should be a snap, then gonna stop at the grocery store and pick up some last minute things that I don't want to be without around here. I'm not really "out" of anything, but just don't like it in winter when supplies of one thing or another start to run low. Got a lot of pre-made meals in the freezer for this busy time of year. It was 5 degrees last night and Kenny was out grilling burgers. The wind was blowing this way, and man, did that smell good! That kid grills any chance he gets - their New Year's Dinner is always done on the grill regardless of the weather. He'll get old like his dad and me someday and it won't seem like such a lark!![]()
Good luck at the doc, and try not to freeze off any vital parts out there!
