So, I have been meaning to ask .. what is the story with that?

I just came in from picking my last harvest of frozen eggs for the day and moving a  turkey that is moving to a new home tomorrow into a cage. I was not out over 7-8 minutes and my fingers are freezing.

At least I don't have to worry about frozen eggs...they are not laying. Not much sunshine and I think they are using all their energy to keep warm!

it started like this.

there was a duck trapped in the ice, on a lake.......

so a mere mortal man, bravely enters the frigid pool of death........



throwing caution to the wind, he bravely places himself in dire danger.

"the dux, who will save this widdle dux?!?"

his cries for the sake of the poor duck can be heard echoing all thru the valley.

fighting the lowering temps of his body, and the sluggish response of his limbs, he bravely battles onward.

until........

he reaches the duck and plucks it from a certain, gruesome death......

and they lived happily every after.........

becoming great friends.......

well unfortunately, the relationship didn't last very long.......you see, the duck had very serious issues. Abandoned at only 6 months old, to fend for herself, she soon turned to drugs.......

yep, ya'll have guessed it. The poor little duck, got hooked on quack.
