The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

You're planning on new spring chicks?!?!?!?! How exciting!

What are you wanting to get?

Not sure, I have loved my BR's and BO's - but really don't want any more frequently broody hens.

There's a feed/pet/farm supply place only 2-3 minutes from my home that gets baby chicks in March - will check with what they are ordering and then decide which to get.

I'm still nervous about intro to the 2 spoiled 4 year olds, but plenty of time to plan for that.

But definitely getting some newbies...

I'll send you my EE - she goes broody every 2 weeks - drives me nuts!

Sunflour, I think that's wonderful! Keep us posted.

Chris, I used to have a BA that was like that. Totally aggravating!

Gee, that's such a sweet offer, but have to pass.

I have witnessed how high those gals can fly. But didn't know they were a broody bunch

She was sold to me (unseen) as an araucana, but i think crossed with a bantam. Silly little bird!

They are, aren't they? I'd kill the little thing, except she cost me quite a bit of money and flew her from the coast to Nairobi. I crossed her with a brown leghorn roo, so hopefully her offspring will not be as broody. Only another 4 months or so to wait and see

I never researched BA's - good to know and will avoid them.

Hope they turn out less broody.

Sunflour, we can pick the new chicks out for you. And name them too.

Because we're just that helpful!
