Sooo, I have what I think is some good news but trying very hard not to get excited! 

I confess to thinking on Friday that hubby had not got the job because they advised that interviewees would be notified some time that week.  BUT he just got a phone call from them [Monday here] that they have made an appointment for him to have a pre-employment health check and to sign an authority for a criminal record check.  While they did not say he had the job, I am pretty sure they will not be doing that with all interviewees and probably only the one or one's truly in the running .. that glimmer of hope has turned into a chandelier!  Sadly, health check is not booked until Friday so we have some waiting to do

My Opie likes to jump for every piece of clothing I take out of the front-loading washer to put in the dryer. And he's no help at all when it comes to folding, lol.

Tee hee Scott .. I have starting packing in my head

OK so he does not have the job yet but the reality of what we are doing kicked in last night.

If he does get the job he will likely be gone in 3 weeks or so leaving me to pack, deal with the real estate, manage the transport of the cats and chickens and possibly without a car for 5 months depending on the final plans. That, plus working full time and missing my best mate who will be 1,300kms away. I do not think we have been apart 5 days, let alone 5 months! But then I realised that people do this all the time [Blooie is probably nodding right now

] and that the end result will be worth it so told myself to suck it up Princess and get on with the job!
