The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It seems like just yesterday you were perishing from the heat

Yep, and in no hurry to go back there just yet!

Our seasons tend to switch quickly, shorts and T-shirt one day and long pants and jacket the next! I am going to enjoy every minute of this winter because FNQ winters are not as cool so this will be my last one.

While it was only 57F here the other morning, it was 71F at the same time in Forrest Beach.

Teila. We had a few days of 70-78, then down to 40's again.

Every time I put the winter clothes away, I have to pull them back out

I was going to change the flannel sheets to percale and changed by mind.

Good morning!

Winter decided to make a quick come back here (or maybe it just never left?). It started snowing sometime around 9pm last night and it's still coming down. Guess we won't see any golfers today but lunch may get busy (it surely did yesterday).

Sorry for being AWOL the past few days, it's been exhausting but things are going well, especially with the restaurant.

Hope everyone is doing great, I'll catch up on posts as soon as I can.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone (or Saturday for J and Teila)!

It doesn't surprise me the restaurant is popular - you're a great cook/baker - and how far is the closest restaurant competitor?

How is it possible to plan meals and the amount to prepare without knowing how many folks will come to eat

Take care and try to get some rest when you can.

Telia - May 12th is so very close, and then you will be moving too very soon

Jae - the pics are great - love those piglets - hope they get some feathers soon.

Blooie - thunderstorms and snow? Somehow that doesn't seem fair.

Got my newbies today:

They'll be in the tote brooder for a week or less and then get to move to the big brooder.

The store only got 5 Welsummers - and one IMO was a different breed. But hey, I only wanted 4 anyway and I do think they are all pullets :)
If I had not been off today, bet ya they would have been bought by some one else.

They have only been at their new home a couple of minutes when DH took this pic.
