And Back! That did not take as long as I thought it would .. I got there 30 minutes early so got snuck in because the patient before me had not arrived. The bus schedule also worked out in that it was due and arrived 10 minutes after I got to the stop to go home which was great because they only run every 45 minutes.
Anywho .. the reason he wanted to see me before the blood results? He had no idea! Checked on his computer and said, ah yes we have letters from the hospital but when he opened them, they were FYI’s from my Heart Coach! Imagine how unimpressed I would have been had I not had the blood test and wanted the results of that!!
So, I now have to have further blood tests next week because of consecutive raised iron levels and the possibility of haemochromatosis or rheumatoid. Both would explain my achy breaky joints and fatigue but so would stress and packing!
While I have dropped 9kg since being in hospital and probably need to lose another 5-7, I must admit not once did anyone in the hospital or my GP recommend it, I did that off my own back, may be because of the reasons mentioned here, suing etc.
Apparently the haemochromatosis test is a gene thing and can take a couple of weeks for the results, so, if all good I hopefully will not need to see this guy again. He has requested a further Ferritin [iron] test in July but by then I will be in Forrest Beach and hopefully found a GP I like.
Oh and because it was Saturday .. $110!
While all that was going on, I got a text message from hubby to say FIL had just been taken off in an Ambulance with severe right side, lower quadrant back pain. For FIL to want an Ambulance, it must be bad. May be kidney stones??? Anyways, sadly no more news yet except that his last BP was 220/93 which is way too high.
That old saying ‘when it rains it pours’ is definitely true today!
