Teddy alerted this morning while we were moving wood into the little barn. Turned out to be the flock of wild turkeys walking through the field well beyond the boys' fenced area.

They fly too, roost up in trees i hear.Tons of wild turkeys here too, both in the fields and in the cabinet over the fridge. I don't recommend going after both at the same time.
We get the wild turkeys coming up to our turkey run especially in the spring looking to get lucky, or to fight with mine through the fence. Those buggers sure can run off fast when they see you.
My mother's crab apple trees are always loaded with them during the winter and spring as they are looking for food. They can fly quite the distance, though not high off the ground and disappear in an instant. People call turkeys dumb, but they really aren't. My husband hunts them and they aren't easy to get. They fly too, roost up in trees i hear.
My husband had a wild Tom try to race him, husband in car, tom on foot parallel. Lol. Deer do the same thing sometimes here.My mother's crab apple trees are always loaded with them during the winter and spring as they are looking for food. Deer around here are dangerous, tis the season
I saw two turkey hens with their broods on the way to town but they were into the bushes before i could get a picture. Also saw a dead deer by the side of the road.My friend said it happened to her and a turkey on a country ride while riding her moped. Makes me giggle when I think of it. Crazy turkeys.
Deer around here are dangerous, tis the season. We will see if my husband can hit another with his company truck going to work in the early morning, seems almost every year it happens.
I love seeing all the birds here at Treetops. From the tiny hummingbirds to the cat birds that were calling today. Not too thrilled when i see hawks and vultures, but only because i have fowl.Wow - I thought I was lucky seeing a teeny little bird in the backyard this morning I'd never seen before - a Grey Warbler. Very cute and tiny. But that's nothing compared to wild turkey and deer!
@bruceha2000 your alpaca are beautiful! I bet they felt better after a clip despite not being overly cooperative. Much like my baby cockatiels getting their faces washed!
