Hi Teila! I have been thinking about you the last couple days and here you are, welcome back!!![]()
Hey DMC .. thank you! Good to be back! Everyone's thoughts might have given me the shove I needed to get my act into gear and reconnect with BYC

How are you liking your new home?
Yeah but I'm gonna win! Veronica squatted today when I put my hand over her and let me pet her. Betty moved away when I tried it on her. Cassie squatted 2 days ago and laid yesterday. Of course I hadn't tried to touch her before yesterday. Some of my first batch in 2012 squatted a week or two before they laid so I'm not counting on seeing a new avatar for @sunflour just yet.
At least you can SEE the stuff in the walk in! Too many small things hide in the back of the home refrigerator. Then we all know what happens![]()
Hey everyone!
First up, my sincere apologies for leaving everyone in the dark as to my whereabouts and may be wondering if all was OK. Since the move up to FNQ life has been beyond hectic with so much to do and so little time including nearly losing our 9 year old cat to kidney stones; after two weeks in veterinary care he is now home which would not have been the case if we had listened to the local Vet who wanted us to euthanize on day 2.
Chookens are doing great!
Anyways, things have settled a little and I will now hopefully have time to catch up with everyone and learn how the 'new site' works.
I missed you guys!

Beautiful picture! It is going good. So much done and still to do but we are getting there. FIL is a bit of a hoarder/doomsday prepper which is OK when only one hooman and one dog in residence but now there are 3 hoomans, 1 dog, 2 cats and 5 chickens so stuff has to go!
Luckily, Jessie [the dog] accepted the cats and chickens and the cats and chickens tolerate her
I now have another fur baby to lovealong with walks on the beach.

Thanks! Syba is still beautiful. Poor kitty for having to go through that. What causes kidney stones? She is beautiful!
Syba showing off his 'poodle cut gone wrong'! Due to his recent illness he had both legs shaved for IV lines, neck shaved for multiple blood tests and abdomen shaved for ultrasounds.
