The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

My first cockatiel baby has gone to his new home. Hey a lovely, cuddly boy who loves sitting on your shoulder. An absolutely lovely girl adopted him. She fell in love with him, and she lives locally so I'm glad my first baby didn't have to travel far.

The two we are keeping are cuddlers too. My DD had both of them on her yesterday (with a towel round her shoulders) and her little one, Dottie, moved round to the front to snuggle by my DD's chin and go to sleep. Chilly sat on her shoulder doing her hair.

I learned yesterday not to forget the towel! I ended up with 8 cockatiels on me and my DD was sleeping in (so she was no help) and if I managed to get one off me another would jump on. So I had to have a second shower!

As for the weather it's still cool down here too. We have the odd warm day but it's so windy at the moment (which has dried out the backyard) but it's a southerly which is our cold wind. We've been putting the fire on at night but we are nearly out of wood.

I miss Kmart...they always had whatever I was looking for. All we have is a Wal-Mart :tongue
I used to love Walmart, can hardly stand to go in there anymore. A manager was trying to figure out breaks with 2 of his employees yesterday as my friend and I were being checked out and they were not quiet about it. I walked out shaking my head. I could not find a chicken waterer other then what I have already. They had a metal base one but was only good for 10* above 0. Guy helping me was no help and I told him so. I bought a 1.5 gallon dog dish instead.

It's the screaming kids that are always in W-M that bother me. You can't be in the store 5 minutes before some child starts screaming. I asked a cashier there once why kids always screamed in their store. She said she didn't know but the day after Halloween was always the worst...I'm guessing the kids are all sugared up then.
