Diabetes will cause ya to have dry mouth along with many kinds of drugs...Rx and OTC....too much salt in the diet....and I've heard that the wacky weed will too...so will doing physical labor in the hot summer sun. This time of year sinuses and allergies are usually kicking and the anti-histamines will cause it. Then there is dry heat, if ya are using beat instead of AC....may need a humidifier or vaporizer....or, ya may be breathing thru your mouth instead of your nose. So, as ya can see there are a myriad of reasons, but only you will know....:)

Must be local. Kind of like Stop & Shop or Hannaford's here. Although the Hannaford's near us turned into Big Y.

Or like Giant Eagle in Erie, PA where my mom's family is

And thanks! I probably don't drink enough water but I never have and was fine

I was just barely prediabetic in January though and I went back recently for some pain and got retested along with urine and it was still slightly high but fine. That reminds me, I still need to do the stool test ha sorry tmi. Anyway, I should probably go back cause the mouth thing is new and I have some other random things and maybe it's related

But it is sometimes after exercise and sometimes just randomly or even when I eat it dries out fast

I'm also a mouth breather

Idk, I just find it odd I never had it and then all of a sudden I do and nothing has changed.

Maybe? I do eat tons of sugar and have been going to Subway every day just about since classes started up again in September (there is one right next to my school)
You really should try to back off on the sugar. Diabetes is a nasty disease.

I am a type 1 diabetic. Have been since I was 10 years old. High blood sugars will cause you to become dehydrated and thirsty. It's a bad sign. Definitely improve your diet and get walking to see if it improves. Take my word for it, you don't want diabetes and multiple daily insulin injections, especially if you can avoid it just be eating right and exercise. I would give anything for that chance. I am stuck doing this stuff until the day I die.

:hugsSo sorry you are saddled with that. I have been trying to cut back sugar and reading more labels. I want more veggies in my diet. Sadly the garden did not perform well but i am buying more.

Thank you. It's a daily burden that I wish on no one. I am so full of holes from all the shots and finger pricks. I follow my self made God diet. If God made it, eat it. If God didn't make it avoid it as much as possible. Unfortunately God didn't make Twinkies, so that is a once a year treat. Drink lots of water, and walk, walk, walk, which is hard with arthritis, but I still keep moving. I saw you have arthritis too. Another thing that is not a nice thing to have.

Yes, i have some enlarged joints and a bent finger i can't straighten out . Yet they claim my xrays are fine. Docs are nuts! I fell on my knees on the hardwood floor and my knees are still very sore. Glad i didn't break anything.
I try not to dwell on infection and illness, i just concentrate on my next task. Going to the ENT tomorrow so i better say goodnight. Have to get up at 8. Hugs.

Yeah, maybe it's the dry air from the heat? Didn't have the problem all summer

And I have been eating a lot of salt and sugar too

Haven't been taking any allergy meds or anything

Thanks, yeah, I need to cut back. Been working on it some. Used to get fast food like multiple times a week but now I haven't gotten any fast food nor had any soda in like months.

I've been trying to eat salads more too ha

It's not much but I used to down soda and fast food

So sorry you have to deal with that!

I suppose I should probably start taking it seriously before it's permanent.

I have at least cut all soda and fast food though. I was having a really hard time with that for a while cause I would go without then really crave it or get out of class late and go but then one day I just stopped going. Idk. Maybe it was like God or something. Sounds stupid but I kept asking yet couldn't stop. Maybe it finally worked

But I still eat other junk. Not too much lately but Subway still with the bread and cheese and I get the cookies and no vegetables.... I need to either get a healthier sub with veggies or stop going altogether

I did at least take the dog on a long walk today though

Anyway, sorry again you have to deal with that and I think I should make some changes

Oh and I used to have really inflamed finger joints for a while when I started eating fast food like daily and they hurt but now since I quit they seem to have gotten better

I used to love it when I was younger too. Now I'm just a cranky old lady trying to buy my Metamucil and oatmeal while fighting off the young folk.:old
I once went to to buy metamucil...there are so many types!
Shopping as a whole isn't near as exilerating as it once was....it used to be difficult choosing thru different varieties of products as many more people were observant of others and there was a shared, civil excercise in respect and consideration for others and tbis was taught to the children that accompanied the parent. Today, it is a rude, crude, disrespectful experience while trying to not get run over or mauled by both parents and children as ya attempt to make it down an ever narrowing aisle....with 3-4 stopped in the middle of the aisle chatting on phones as they talk amongst theirselves and could care less how long ya have to wait on them, but ya better not hold them up, or they will release the hellions that are tearing up the aisle as they are oblivious to any responsinility for those little hellions.....and when ya final make it to the cashier....ya have to deal with many that are afflicted with that serious disease called Stupidity....it is rampid out there and they are certainly Multiplying....:)
I find putting a big 'ol smile on for navigating the store helps. It's really more so I don't scare anyone (my husband was just conveying to me again today how scary I seem to people...lol) but it also helps lubricate the workings with people. They not only seem to respond better to a big 'ol smile but they also don't seem to give as much attitude back at you if you have to ask them to move. Unless I'm still just scaring people and don't know it.....:gig

I definitely concur.

Drinking a more water is a good start and it's good for you and your organs; liver, kidneys etc.to help flush your system. Especially if you've been eating salt and sugar.

Prepackaged foods and goodies can have a surprising amount of salt and sugar. If you eat salad dressings, some can have a surprising amount of sugar and likely salt. Just one tablespoon of ranch dressing (calorie wise) contains 1 gram of sugar and 140 mg of salt...lol. And up here...a lot of foods labeled fat free tend to substitute sugar for taste and can be higher in sugar than the regular/calorie reduced varieties. Salad dressing and yogurts are a couple things that I've noticed this on. One serving of milk, which is a cup, has 12 grams of sugar. I can only drink 1/4 to 1/3 cup of milk at a time with other high protein foods. (slows down the absorption) I take that cue from the hospital, they served it in half a cup amounts when I was pregnant with gestational diabetes.

That's just a few tips of things to watch out for...but I agree with the others. If you are showing up with prediabetes...it's so much better to catch it now and control it. It could helps things to be much better for you later on. :)
