The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Heading to Riverton right after the kids pick up Kendra. I hate this winter traveling, but the Lodge must go on.....and apparently it can't go on without Ken. <sigh> Well, at least there's a margarita (extra salt) and a lobster tail at the casino in it for me tonight - tomorrow I just sit with the other ladies and make small talk. All day. Come on, August 2019!!

Have a safe trip to Riverton B!

So in August 2019 does Ken 'retire' from his lodge duties?

Well, not entirely. He'll still be Grand Recorder and Grand Secretary of the York Rite Chapter and council, and he'll still be an active member of 3 Lodges, a Shriner, and a member of Scottish Rite. But his Grand Master year will be over!!

Oh Joy. Stick on that Press and Seal smile and have another margarita. Perhaps you will find a kindred spirit to spend time with.

Works for me, and lots of kindred spirits there...we're pretty much all Masonic widows.

:barnie 2 hours in the drs office while it was 65 and sunny. Now its raining and i need to feed the birds.:(

Don't it figger.....

It's so hot here. Teila, I don't know how you do it! I'm melting here and it's no where near as hot as where you are. The house got up to 30C/86.5F last night. It's currently just under 27C/80.4F. This is February weather (a particularly hot one too)!

Cap, I'll take your rain. My poor vegetable garden is wilting. I've given it as much water as I dare. Thankfully we can take the kids for a swim later. It helps temporarily at least.

Oh, Jae! That sounds miserable!

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Thank you Bruce!

Hey Jae yeah, the weather is oppressive. It is only 07:30AM and already 79F [26C] with a relative humidity of 80%.

Predicted max for today is 93F [34C] .. hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to mow I go!

Plans for today … off to the garden store to look for something to beautify the rainwater tank area .. back to mow the lawns, kill weeds etc.

@JaeG and @Teila I got the voodoo man out of storage to do a rain dance/cool off dance for you!

It's not fun trying to do anything when it's that hot (especially sleep).

LOVE Mr Voodoo! I fear he is boogying in vain. Apparently the Tasman sea is up to 6C (42.6F) warmer than usual which means the krill is staying down deep, leaving sea birds who rely on it to feed their babies searching for other sources of food. Like jellyfish :sick! Poor babies! Anyway, that also means we aren't getting any cooling weather coming up from Antarctica. I've been trying to vacuum and regretting letting it slide for a few days. Those cockatiels sure know how to make a mess!
