Ours came with it but it is kinda flimsy and doesn't sit on the bowl very well. The old (early 1990's) Kenwood has a shield that is a complete circle that shoves up onto the mixer itself so it rises when the powerhead is tilted. Quite solid. The shield has to be put on before the mixing attachment is put in.

It seems very little is made with quality anymore...if it’s cheap and breaks you have to buy new.

I think that's the intent. Although I think it's finally starting to backfire. Now, instead of buying another of the same, people are buying a different brand. A lot of people are starting to realize "You get what you pay for" is a real thing.

The Rawlins roads weren't too bad, the interstate was slow-going but we did ok. I did get to watch the guy that lives next door almost straddle his car while pulling into his garage...got the front tires in but the back tires just spun.

Well folks, all I can say is NEVER take 4 days off from BYC. Didn't plan on it, but it happened. I've finally cleared my queue, greeted everyone I missed and caught up on most of the threads I follow. And I have about a dozen new folks waiting. And a couple hundred pages marked to read later on my normal threads.

It doesn't take long to get behind around here!

We have to go back to town again today. The guy that stole 3 golf carts pled guilty and will be sentenced this morning. DH has to make some sort of statement prior to sentencing...hope it doesn't include him saying how he really feels about the situation Maybe I should go prepared to bail DH out if necessary.

Boy, you've had a time of it! There is very little crime here in Wyoming --- I think it's because it's all focused on the Sinclair Golf Course. <sigh> Be safe going into town, and control your Frankenfoot!

Well, that's over and done with. The judge gave the guy 3-5 years in the pen for the golf cart theft and 3-5 years for the possession of a controlled substance (he was carrying that while he was out on bond from the theft charge). Sentences will be served concurrently.

It's just all so stupid and such a waste. I don't feel sorry for this guy but I do feel sorry for the baby girl his girlfriend had 6 weeks ago. What a way for her to start life.
