I'm hoping the groundhogs will predict early spring .

For us the groundhog is correct only when it predicts 6 more weeks of winter.

I'm going to get some bread baked and do some general clean up around here. Sunday we're going to my brother's to have a b-day lunch for my Mom (she turned 85 yesterday).

What's your agenda for the day? And how is Buddy?

I need to bake tomorrow Too! I am about out of bagels, loaf bread and sourdough bread.

Tonight I am going to grind popcorn to make corn bread to go along with loaded potato soup

Tomorrow will be either mozzarella or farmers cheese and a new batch of yogurt

Howdy all.
We finally got a decent snowfall overnight. Probably too late to help dormant crops/ plants, but at least there will be a bit of moisture come the spring thaws.

Help dormant crops as in the number of days below zero to set fruit and etc.? I would think you would get plenty of that

Bread is in the oven, the house is clean (enough, lol) so guess it's time to go welcome some newbies...man, they just keep coming! At this rate, it's going to be a crazy spring.

See what I do not have to deal with? It has snowed here twice since I moved to Woodland in 1992. It did not even stick on the roads and was gone by the next morning.
