The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Sold these at our church fall festival. The ladies that bought them said they were great and didn’t realize the difference between a box and homemade would be so different.

Make sure you use an angel food cake pan. Mine is as old as my marriage....35 years so it is a long term investment LOL!

Thank You!

I do have a fluted, silicone, ring cake pan but I think it might be too shallow ... going shopping on line for an actual Angel Food Cake pan!

I have had that happen before too. They say "I don't like Angel food cake" I say: "I bet you have never had real angel food cake."

Of course they love the real home make version

Thanks heaps Ron!
Your Welcome!

The nine dollar pan is similar to the one I have had for 35 years.

Another tip, remember to turn the pan over to cool. The is what the bars are for on the top--to flip and cool the cake.

Okey doke! I did read that and a recommendation that it could be cooled on a wine bottle but having the 'feet' sounds like a better idea and that one is cheaper! ;)

Good Morning Friends :hugs

84F predicted for today with a 70% chance of more showers.

Hubby’s birthday is coming up in the next few weeks and he has mentioned that he would like an Angel Food Cake which I have never baked before. Apparently it is tricky to get it right. I have perused a few recipes on line but just wondering if anyone has any tried and tested recipes or tips?

This is the one I've had the best luck with:#884
