Agree! I don’t like that other kind, stuff gets to dark in them. I will buy aluminum any day over the nonstick.

Okey doke! I did read that and a recommendation that it could be cooled on a wine bottle but having the 'feet' sounds like a better idea and that one is cheaper!

I use a soy sauce bottle as mine doesn’t have feet.

The cats found 2 mice in the basement today. GROSS! They have been chomping at the bit to go down there and now I know why. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a mouse in the house. I’m glad I saw them come up with their surprises instead of stepping in their surprises when they threw them up.

Anyone else find themselves striving to cook or bake to others' expectations? I am not complaining as I like the challenge but I seem to find myself trying to replicate a favourite dish. For example, Steak Diane how hubby's mum used to make it .. or pumpkin pie .. or Pecan Pie ... or Angel Food Cake etc

I try and copy hubby’s grandmas sloppy joes and just can’t do it. He’ll just have to choke down mine. My boys have said if they ever get married they are going to have me teach their wives to cook like I do and I said good luck with that. If it tastes good, who cares if someone else’s is better.

It is hard to do though because the memory of the dish from our past is not very accurate. It is still good to try though!

I’m doing cupcakes for a graduation party in the spring. I’m a little nervous about it. The cupcakes they had for their daughter’s wedding were awful and I know mine are better but that doesn’t mean anyone will agree with my opinion.

I remember watching Mum’s 3 cats one day when they had a mouse trapped in the garden; he was stuck between the three of them. However, they were so busy watching each other to ensure that they would be the one to get the mouse, none of them noticed him sneaking off and making his escape! LOL

Yep, I do enjoy the challenge of replicating and also the satisfaction if I get it right or close. None of us have been able to get the Steak Diane just right though. She put some secret ingredient in and none of us have worked out what that was .. yet
