You ain't seen clutter until you see my place. It's shameful actually. We've got less than 300 sq ft here. The worst is, with no running water and no sink there are dirty dishes everywhere. I'm actually really disgusted by it all. Maybe I'll work on melting lots of snow today and attempt to get caught up.

I just woke up, so haven't been to see piggy (aka roast) today. While I was at work yesterday someone came by and gave him a penicillin shot. Evidently it was a sight to be seen. When Helen got into the sleeping box where he was lying and tried to insert the needle he went flying out of there. 3 senior citizens running around trying to catch him while his bigger brother kept trying to protect him. Wish I'd been here for that one. So, from what I can tell, it was worms. From what I can understand worm can actually strangle an animal.

Bruce, you haven't joined in a contest lately (maybe not since the 1st egg layer?)...maybe you and Michelle could have a Battle of the Clutter! Photos of proof of course, and we get to be the judges

I don't have a well. We bought this place as a vacation property but decided last spring to move here full time. Now that we have chickens and pigs we're tied here.
The other pig is named bacon. Pork chop is in our freezer already. Normally I just refer to them as big guy and little guy so that I don't get too attached. Sending Bacon to freezer camp is going to be tough. He's got so much personality.

So you'll be drilling a well this spring? Maybe earlier, I suspect those drilling trucks are pretty darn heavy. Might be easier on frozen ground. And if their drill can't go through a couple of feet of frozen ground, I bet it couldn't do much when it hits hard ground/rock farther down.

He’s very photogenic! Are you going to put in a well? That would be hard to live without running water.

Hooray on all the girls laying! Now I really wish my girls would show some indication they were so inclined. But nope, not yet!

Congrats on getting the outside area done for your girls. I'm sure both you and them will get a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Yep, was sick at Christmas. There's so many around here with "the cruds" it's dangerous to go out in public. I went to Pet Smart to get Buddy a new cat scratch box and some exciting toys, to Joann's for some yarn, and Barnes and Nobles for a couple of books - the clerks were sick ....so guess my books and stuff will have to "air out"

300 sq foot ... definitely no room for clutter there.
Sounds like pig is stronger than expected, hope he improves daily.

I'll argue with you on that one. And we have much more than 300 sq ft so not only will I bet we have more clutter per sq/ft, we have WAY more clutter in total volume.

Hoping to drill a well at some point soon. I have to get off of my lazy butt and get my house ready to sell. Then I'll have the money to drill hopefully. We've got a 3 large water totes 2x300 gal & 1x250 gal that I'll be able to use once it warms up. Need to get a new transfer pump though. The one I have is leaking fuel and I think the motor has seized up.

Not necessarily conceding... just don't want to show anyone...
