The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Oh and I'm thinking about buying a DNA test for the puppy. It's expensive but I want the accurate one and I think it would be fun for them
For what purpose?
:caf okay waiting patiently, sort of. my camera takes regular alkaline batteries which is convenient. I can buy them anywhere. But the camera just eats them up- 4 batteries at a time.

I used to have rechargeable batteries and a charger but, neither worked very long.
My prior camera was like that. Current camera has a rechargeable lithium, lasts reasonably long. It also has a 60X optical zoom. Of course that is 60X the wide angle (22mm I THINK??) not 60X "normal vision" which I think is about 70 mm. I never use the additional digital zoom, that just pixilates the image.

Any update on Castor?

Thank you for asking :hugs

Not at this stage. It is 11AM in my sister's home state and she may have to work again today; she is a Vet Nurse [not at the Vet's she has taken Castor to, which says something :p].

I am hoping that no news is good news and hopefully we will hear something a bit later today.

I will let you know.

Just for fun, to find out exactly what breeds she is.

This is her. Click full screen on the pics cause otherwise it weirdly crops them?

The claim she is Great Pyrenees and Border Collie. I buy the Pyrenees part as she is huge but it would be interesting to find out if she is really Border Collie or if maybe she is Lab, as I somewhat think.

Oh and also this particular one also tests for like every possible genetic disorder and diseases too and their risk factor for them so that is nice to know too.

I have heard from my sister and have a Castor update ...........

Castor has improved slightly again today, he ate from a bowl and is drinking water from a bowl, he is trying to clean himself too. He gave me a kiss today, he knows I am there and he can lift his head more steadily today. We still have to hold him to stand him up, but he is getting stronger. The main thing is that he is improving even if it is very slowly.

I am not going to get too excited but he is heading in the right direction at present! :yesss:
