Poor thing, I love butterflies!Check out this beauty who I snapped a picture of in my lunch hour today. As you can see (s)he has a damaged wing but was still managing to get around OK and hopefully will be able to avoid all the local birds, which is probably how (s)he got injured in the first placeIt is actually bigger than the Sunbird!
Google advises that it is a Cairns Birdwing butterfly which is the largest of all Australian butterflies. The female's wingspan can measure 18cm [7 inches] and their favourite habitat is the rain forest which makes me feel good that he or she was hanging around in my garden; tropical was and still is my goal

@Michelle Farmer-Brown it sounds like you've made a lot of progress on getting your old house ready. Get 'er done and get that new house set up...lots of work, but it will all be worth it when things are settled.
It's back to work for me today, lots of cleaning up to do, food to order, etc.
