No, strip bowling was as much as I cared to push the bowling envelope. :duc
Ok... next time we'll toss 5 pin into the mix to make it really fun.

If they tell you what they do, they have to kill you. You don't want to know.

Lol probably true

What do they do? Knights Templars fight a different kind of battle now...the battle against eye disease, congenital eye defects, and blindness. The Knights Templar Eye Foundation is a leader in support of research, education and developing treatments.

There are other organizations which are also listed as Knights Templar, so don’t confuse them if you do any research. In those others, being a Mason isn’t a prerequisite for membership. I’m not saying there is a thing wrong with those organizations, just that they aren’t appendant bodies of Masonry. Anyway, Ken started out as a Mason, petitioned for membership in Scottish Rite, then later he petitioned Knights Templar. Those are the basics, but it’s much more involved than that. The Scottish Rite is known for its Speech and Language Clinics for Children, totally free to families. The Shriners are another easily recognized Masonic appendant body, famous for their Orthopedic Hospitals and Burns Hospitals, care provided at no charge to kids. Our dues here in Wyoming aren’t too high. If they were, we just couldn’t do it, especially as active as as Ken is in so many Masonic bodies. But he believes in what he does..he tries hard to live it every day, and I believe in him.

Okay, I’m Masonically exhausted now and everyone’s eyes are glazing over....if they aren’t rolling them! It’s not that I’m a “wealth of knowledge.” It’s just that Ken’s been a Mason for 38 years and I learned a lot through osmosis! Well, that and before he even became a Mason, I worked as a secretary for the Shriners in San Diego, which is how he became interested in the first place. So trying to explain it all in a few posts is nearly impossible, let alone incredibly dull to others, especially since much of it I’ll never even know myself.

Wow! I had no idea they were so involved in diseases research and treatments and helping kids and all that, that's awesome!

And ah, that makes sense how you learned it then.

So, stupid question, what exactly is a Mason? I always thought it was to do with stones/stonework? But I assume they're not working with stones anymore? Or is this Mason something totally different?

Beautiful pics Cap!

We have baby platties! I only know that because they are orange/red and I found some in the pump reservoir where they had been sucked through .. tried catching them and putting them back in the pond but a couple of them ended up back in the reservoir! So, going to leave them there for a week or so until they are too big to fit through the grill and then put them back in the pond!

It is Saturday here and a colleague of mine left this message on my Facebook page …..

Hey Teila. So they released the xxxxx release last night. Now there are heaps of jobs in the queue with xxxxx not working.

Just a heads up in case they don't fix them before Monday.

It is the weekend and I know it is the release and of course I was expecting it to be broken but it peeved me that she posted that because now I know for sure and it is going to play on my mind and has kind of spoiled the weekend. Is it just me or would that annoy anyone else also?

I am a little excited! While I still have lots I need to do, nothing too taxing … it only took me nearly 12 months but the jungle is officially no more!!

Good morning!

@Teila terrific work on the yard! I love that picture from your chair under the house. As for the upcoming workload on Monday, yeah, that probably would have bugged me too. But maybe the person that posted it thought they were being helpful to give a heads up.

@Blooie "Lady of the Knight" :gig Are you going to think of my little joke now every time you wear your pin?

@Michelle Farmer-Brown where do things stand with your new house?
