We have Remembrance Day. It's the same day as veteran's day.
We used to have a minute's silence at 11am. I don't think anywhere does that anymore.
It occurs on November 11th with commemoration at 11 am as that day and time is when hostilities in the first world war formally came to a halt.
As time goes on we use it as a day to not only honour those who fought in WWI but all who have served.
