My aunt had shingles last year and it was horrible. So you should get the shot. Although oddly, she thinks she got it because her husband (my uncle) had gotten the shot. I think it is a live vaccine? Or something.

Always go with your first answer unless you read the question wrong. There was an answer on the test I knew was the answer but I thought maybe they were trying to "trick" us, like of course you'd pick that one because there were two other similar ones of old school tactics/common beliefs, so I thought it went with those 2 and must be the one that was different from those 3. So I crossed it out and changed my answer. Just found that section in the book and I was right the first time! Gahhh!!![]()
Thanks! I have a note to myself to get the Shingrix inoculation.Bruce uses Google
Hey @ronott1 Here and Now is talking about the new shingles vaccine (Shingrix) coming out. And yes they are saying even if you got the old one (which I did last year) you should get the new one because the old one is only 70% effective and the older you are the less effective it is.
Insurance companies will only pay for it if you are over a certain age.I've been seriously thinking about getting that. I had a really severe case of chicken pox as a kid, so I'm thinking I'm very likely to get shingles, and knowing my luck they'd also be very severe.
Take it from one who has had shingles:I've been seriously thinking about getting that. I had a really severe case of chicken pox as a kid, so I'm thinking I'm very likely to get shingles, and knowing my luck they'd also be very severe.
