There was a lady behind me with a little girl at the grocery store the other day which I assume was her granddaughter. I heard her say whats in your hair and oh your face is so dirty and she was saying I just picked her up from daycare. Leaves in her hair, dirt on her face...I told her it’s ok for kids to play in the dirt. Nowadays they have all that antibacterial everything. How do you build up an immunity if you never get exposed. We made mud pies when I was little...best of times.

And you are so right about kids playing in the dirt!

Although thankfully that lady doesn't sound like too much of a germaphobe to me, just commenting how dirty she was ha if people went around all muddy all the time I'm sure someone would call DCF or a mental facility depending on their age

There's a spare bedroom for you. It doesn't have any flooring laid so that's one thing that will need doing. We'd want to lay wood flooring. Andrew met a flooring guy at work (a customer) and he recommended American Oak. We have a native timber on our current floor but the native ones tend to shrink which creates annoying gaps just perfect for birdseed to get stuck in! Cockatiels are not tidy birds.

My arm is sore from painting yesterday, but we'll keep going today. It looks amazing after only one coat. We are just putting 2 coats of white undercoat on everything and whoever buys it can choose their own colours. DH hates painting but I enjoy it, especially the transformation. It makes such a difference. I forgot to take a before photo, but we are just doing our huge entrance hallway and big kitchen first. Then it's onto the dining and living area (which is all open plan).

Sounds like you're making good progress! I agree a coat of paint makes a world of difference. When we painted our place before it went on the market I asked myself, why didn't I do this sooner?

I hope your place sells quickly. Our house has been for sale for 2 weeks now, and there's only been 1 showing .

Have you seen the ‘concrete with stamped wood grain flooring’? My sister had it done at her place and it looks awesome! I can not get my head around the fact that it is not timber.

I don't know if we can get concrete like that here, but there's ceramic tile like that that looks really nice (not as nice as your sister's floor mind you).

Going to an 11 hour shift starting tomorrow... Looks like mon-thu and 9 hrs on friday

That is crazy. People become very inefficient when they are worked too hard. I'm sure the 13 hours at time and a half comes in handy but I sure hope this is a very short term thing.

Lots of microscopic stuff in dirt.

That stuff is what makes the soil good and plants grow.

About a month and a half ago during a routine 'cleaning', it was determined that I had an abscessed wisdom tooth. Since having it removed I note an improved sense of well being. No question in my mind that this was impacting my health in a significant way.

Nothing like an infection running through your body to drag you down. Glad it was found and fixed.

LOL seen that before and I think they came out and said they didn't actually have a study about it or say it BUT yet it DOES seem to work and DOES seem to be true!!!!! LOL odd!

I think there may be other studies.
