Have you got more storms thataway, Debby? Is that why it’s slow? With the skies I’ve seen down there lately I’m not sure I’d want to be out on a golf course either!

No storms recently B. I think people got tired of coming all the way out only to be told the restaurant wasn't open (due to the supply issues) so they just gave up on us. All that mess cost us a whole month and who knows how many customers.

Came home from work today to find that 2 chicks had hatched! I have a carton of eggs in the bator that aren't due to hatch for another 2 weeks. I've got one end propped up on a dish of water to increase humidity. Somehow one of the chicks got under the carton and drowned.
4 pips with 14 more to go!

Sorry about the loss of one of the chicks Michelle, hope the rest pop out soon, healthy and strong!

No, they came from my girls. Last spring I had eggs shipped from two sources and hatched them out, but if memory serves, only one set of holland eggs made it to hatch.

I know what it's like Kdogg An open bottle, bag or carton is an empty one. As long as I don't open it I'm fine. But, then the contents start calling to me, and I have to respond. I just can't ignore a distressed container.

DW is like that with regular Wavy Lays potato chips. That is why we never buy any (that she knows about)

Once I officially finish with the IT role, I can spend the weekend before my MT role getting all the stuff I will not need off my desk and creating some space!

And keep up with BYC without having to go sleepless!

I found one at Goodwill and was considering drilling air holes in it and transporting chicks!

Oh, the lucky ones get a penthouse suite! Even the ones in the basement will have a pretty good view though.

Brilliant!!!! And you could hot-glue or Velcro a couple of little fabric pouches to the inside of the lid, put a hot hands in one or both, and you’ve got a way to keep them warm for transport! You could see how they’re doing as you move them. I am SO unashamedly stealing your idea, even though I don’t have chicks anymore. Others might find it so helpful!!! Brilliant!!

I was thinking of solar heat, set it in the sun and instant heat. Just have to watch it doesn't over heat.

Sorry guys n’ gals, been AWOL [again ]. I hope I did not miss anyone’s news in my catch up. I have been busy getting everything set up for my new role. I wanted to get it done this weekend so that if I did run into any snags, I had a working week to resolve them before I am working two jobs for a short time.

Anyways, got my new computer set up; all software required installed, registered my domain name and set up an admin inbox account, plus foot pedal and headphones, so I think I am pretty close to ‘good to go’. I did run into some snags but just frustrating ones; you all know how it is when you are setting up a new PC

Once I officially finish with the IT role, I can spend the weekend before my MT role getting all the stuff I will not need off my desk and creating some space!

Gotta scoot now though, the boys are playing in an hour and I have a few things to do before I finally get to sit on the couch!

Eggs, spinach, banana with peanut butter on it, and more skyr/yogurt with clover honey this time instead of wildflower. We also have a cranberry bog honey that looks absolutely delicious that I want to try but I'm not sure what it goes with.
