@Blooie I hate labels and boxes! Kids are individuals and it seems to be getting worse with schools etc expecting them to be cookie cutter kids. Not all brains function the same so keep going with Kendra and you'll figure out how she's seeing the world eventually, and what key you need to use to be able to communicate fully with her.

I find it difficult to work out what my son knows as if you try and test him he will give you the wrong answers on purpose. There are games he plays on the iPad and he likes the "Uh oh"/wrong responses the games give so he'll do all the wrong answers first and the right one last. He certainly marches to the beat of a different drummer! He loves winding people up too (like his sister and cousin who give such 'good' reactions). Our daughter on the other hand is very black and white, but once I explain to her in an adult fashion why her way of thinking isn't right for everyone she's able to recognise that and change how she approaches a situation (as long as she's not too worked up and full of self righteousness at the time). But her brain is amazing - the things that absent minded child is able to instinctively figure out and file away blows my little mind.

Don't worry everyone - my back is better. It's really low down near my right hip that gives me trouble sometimes and I could feel the hard little knot of pain sitting there.

It was an exciting morning here with really heavy rain. I was getting very nervous watching the storm water culvert fill up and burst its banks. Thankfully it's down in quite a dip and my chickens weren't in danger at all, but I was getting very worried that it was going to keep rising. Once the rain stopped it dropped pretty fast (and I could finally go out and feed my poor chickens). Phew!

You are moving into cold and we are moving into Hot!

See if you can get in fro physical therapy. It helped me to hold on for a lot of years before surgery.

That, and not having water makes doing dishes quite a pain.

@JaeG glad to hear your back is feeling a little better. Back trouble is the worst...everything is connected to it. Do you have your house on the market now?

@Blooie the "experts" know what they were taught, you know Kendra. Big difference! In the past 4 years I've been reading your posts about her, I can see the progress she's made. You're on the right path :thumbsup

Our day is going to go from 39* to 82*...Wyoming, the land of layered clothing!
