You might be a redneck if you have to have a fan outside while camping. :gig

Update: Luna is a model patient. Didn't make a peep the whole entire time. She didn't even meow or try to get away when they spot shaved some of her mats off on her stomach and back legs and were manipulating/moving her around and holding her down.

In fact, they were BARELY holding her. The vet just had a couple fingers on her neck and the tech was shaving. She did try to hide under the table afterwards though LOL But I think she could tell how much they both loved animals. I could tell. Tech had a huge smile on his face and called her adorable. And before that he came out to greet the pugs and was also smiling and sat down criss cross on the floor. Clearly loved animals. Love this place.

But I'm so glad I don't have one of those evil terror cats that tries to shred everyone to pieces lol he said she was one of his easier patients and he thought she would make a good grooming client lol

I did book an appointment next month for the shaving because they asked if I still wanted the lion cut (since they clipped the mats off) and I asked them and they said they thought she's gonna be one of those once a year shave down type of cats in the spring/summer and that she's gonna get more mats if I don't so I agreed and made an appointment. She had never been shaved before last year so last year she had a lot of mats to get off. She doesn't let me brush her so I think the hair cut will make her more comfortable lol

She was overdue on her rabies today hence the visit but they took so much time with her. Patiently talking to her, petting her, and trying to get her out of the cage, talking to her during the appointment, spending a lot of time looking at her/listening to her heart, etc. They did eventually have to pull her out of the cage though lol but it was done very gently and slowly and the tech helped by lifting the back of the cage up so she sort of slid out. They also spent a while listening to her heart which most people don't do. Other vets can be very fast or listen for like a second. Same with ears and teeth*. And I didn't feel I was being annoying or anything by asking questions/talking. I didn't ask many but about their opinions on the shavings and about her weight (she lost a pound). They even stayed like 5 minutes past closing because they took so much time with her and didn't charge extra for the mat shaving. And I don't think they even looked at the clock and said like whoops 6pm now, BYE. They just took their time and were done when the exam was done.

Also said she had a little heart murmur but that that was common in cats when their heartbeat is fast? Cause he said it was only when her heart was sped up and he didn't hear it when it was slower. So he thinks it's just normal/common in cats. But I've never had a vet mention that before and she is 7, almost 8.

*Which btw he said looked great, minimal I think tartar or plaque?, and asked if I brushed them lol nope, just naturally good teeth.
