The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Bruce you're right... I walk right past the office to start the pot, go out on the deck for five or ten minutes then come back, rob the pot and then go to the office...

So see, you're still doing a morning commute!

I feel ok, Cap. Thanks for asking. I'm not in any pain but it is a pain moving birds around and feeding them on crutches!:lau I imposed on my neighbor and he's going to come over and feed and water my birds for me while I'm crippled. I have a couple of really good neighbors...uhh make that good friends!:)

Glad to hear you have some good help with your birds Sean...thank goodness for friends:)

Good morning Bob, DMC and everyone :frow

Oh forgot to mention we got back last night around like 10pm. We stopped too much lol but we had fun. We drove up some road like 7 or 10 miles to another lodge and then like around some of the roads near it, mostly summer/golfer homes, it was nice but the road is steep and it is like really desolate and far out. I don't think I'd ever wanna stay there. Then we drove all the way to Gorham and through the little town and we stopped at a Subway for a soda and water and the information booth across the street, we're gonna go on a moose tour lol then we went on a hike but first we went to the wrong lot and had to go in the info center and ask where it was and we had parked really far away so that was a hike by itself there and back lolol then we finally found it. I think it was longer than they said but it was fun. We saw waterfalls. I'll have to post some pics later. But there were a lot of stairs down so you could like see it from ground level or whatever so the walk back was a bit brutal LOL I think the big fall was like 60 or 70 feet plus some smaller stairs/flat areas. Then we went to North Conway and we stopped there and went to lunch at a roast beef place and walked around this cool old general store called Zeb's. They had EVERYTHING. Two floors. Place was packed lol they had all sorts of natural and pretty soaps and lotions and scented stuff in a room, cool prints/paintings, lots of pet stuff like treats, toys, leashes and collars and such, most of it locally made, lots of books, random nick nacks and household stuff, etc. It's just a cool store. And also a lot of the shelves or display for stuff is old stuff like an old stove, tub, ancient sewing machine, etc. They also had cool old signs on the walls everywhere and an Mobil old gas pump and an old Coca Cola fridge/machine. The payment thing didn't work but the fridge did and they had bottled Cokes in it you could take out and pay at the register. $1. And they had and old counter, like a diner type counter. I'm guessing they maybe used to have milkshakes or food or something there? And they had a ton of candy and stuff too. We bought some fudge lol then we took the Kancamagus from Conway to get to 93 and back. But then there was also some traffic as we got closer to MA and we also stopped at a Shaws in Concord to get snacks. I think we stopped somewhere before that too to get water. So see, definitely stopped too much LOL but we had fun
