The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, the ER doctor sure did a good job of worrying us at the same time, Sean! Good morning all! Just gonna grab my morning tea and then head over to Tam's to help pack before I have to pick up Kendra and keep her today. Good luck with your appointment!

Katie leaves for her annual camping trip up into the Beartooth Mountains on Sunday. It's the Charles Campbell Children's camp, sponsored by the Lion's Club and it's for kids with disabilities. Katie started going when one of her Autism therapists recommended it, and as she's matured she's become an unofficial camp councilor. She helps the other kids, and if she sees one of the more disabled kids drooling she thinks nothing of grabbing their wipes and cleaning their faces. Does it without even thinking about it. This year Kendra is going for the first time. Jen wanted them to stay in the same cabin but the director said that they try to keep all the similar ages of kids in the same one, so although they'll see each other, and the councilors will call on Katie to help with Kendra from time to time, this is each girl's time separately for the camp experiences. Nervous!

@007Sean, thinking of you. Multiple opinions when dealing with doctors is a good idea - medicine is not an exact science.
Yep, your right about that. My first job when I got outta school, was at a big teaching hospital, as a Research Assisstant 1.
One day, there were 4 doc's arguing over how they should draw blood from a patient.
Patient was diabetic, and had kidney problems. They wanted to draw the blood from the patients leg. 3 outta the 4 didn't know how to do it! It's a crap shoot now days, wether or not you get a competent doctor!

Good day, bad day. I stoopidly forgot to renew my PFM and it expired. Renewed it this evening but not sure how long before it's effective and I'm over ads and such already.

Good day part - the seller accepted Tam's offer on the house! Anticipated closing date isn't until the 15th of August, though....and Ken and I will be at Grand Lodge that week. Evan will be home from Sioux Falls the week before so it's going to get a mite cozy around here. Masons are going over there on Tuesday to move out all of her furniture and she got a storage unit today to put it in. That thing will be packed to the rafters so she took a second unit too for the overflow and boxes. But she's thrilled, loves her new house, and we'll help her get moved in as we can. The big thing was emptying the house she's in....the rest will come.

Whaddya think, guys......should I give Sean instructions on how to hang a doctor in effigy if he's not happy?
